Ista tema kao Cover tema, izuzev što se ovdje morate malo više potruditi i pronaći što više različitih izvedbi iste pjesme, kao i istaći koja je originalna verzija i čija, kada je nastala i slično. Eto, ako se nekome da, kao meni, da pretražuje i iskopava te stvari, bujrum

Počeću sa pjesmom Misirlou

Bint Misr (Misirlou) Egipatska djevojka

Pjesmu je 1919. godine komponovao Egipćanin Sayyed Darwish (1892-1923)
Najraniji dostupan snimak te pjesme je grčka verzija iz 1927. godine

Zanimljivo je da je 1941. godine svoju verziju snimio Edo Ljubić, jedan od najpopularnijih pjevača Jugoslavije iz perioda između dva svjetska rata. Porijeklom iz Donjeg Vakufa, karijeru nastavio u SAD-u gdje je ova verzija i snimljena.

Verzija iz 1948. Maestro Clovis - Ya Amal

Najpoznatija verzija ove pjesme je ona od Dick Dale (koji ima libansko porijeklo) iz 1962. godine i nju uglavnom svi znamo

Prije svega iz Pulp Fiction filma.

Onda je svoju verziju pjesme 1972. godine snimio Staniša Stošić

I konačno, čak je i Aca Lukas snimio svoju verziju

Od obrada ove pjesme, izdvojio bih ovu od Annie Lennox, iz 1995. meni omiljena, predobro zvuči

Ima nekoliko verzija ove pjesme a najpoznatija je ona od benda Ugly Kid Joe iz 1992. godine

Johnny Cash je također obradio

Još neke verzije:

Zanimljivo je da su mnogi ovu pjesmu pripisivali Cat Stevensu/Yusuf Islamu. Čak postoje na Youtube verzije pjesme potpisane kao Cat Stevens, ali nisu njegove, jer ustvari samo je originalna Harry Chapin verzija potpisana kao Catova.

Cat/Yusuf je nikad nije pevao.
Razlog leži i u tome da je Cat Stevens napisao pjesmu Father and Son 1970. godine, koja je bila veliki hit i koja govori o ocu i sinu ali u drugom kontekstu nego kod Harry Chapina. Pretpostavlja se da je pjesma bila inspiracija Chapinu.
